Going to extremes for more MPGs?

Car of the future? Nope. It will never take off. Concept cars rarely do. (Which is funny because EVERY new car at some point was someone’s concept, but “concept cars” very rarely ever come to fruition.) However, this Audi has one major thing holding it back: it looks too much like the Chrylser Prowler, another concept car that SEEMED like a good idea. However, the Prowler’s nose was too light causing all sorts of handling/steering problems and it was too pricey, which led to it’s quick demise. So why would Audi drive so close to the edge when that is a very, very deep financial cliff beneath them? Answer: In today’s economy, they can’t afford it. So while this may look like a cool new car, I’ll be you a brake job that it never hits the factory floor.

With the Frankfurt Motor Show just two short weeks away, Audi has unwrapped their Urban Sportback and Urban Spyder concepts we previewed in sketch form earlier this month.
